A lot has happened in the past 4 months. To briefly catch you up to what has been going on in my life, I took a semester off from Fullerton, I finished culinary school, and I got a second job cooking at a fine dining French restaurant in Costa Mesa.

So basically in a nutshell I’ve been working all day everyday between The Burnt Truck and Marche Modern. Not gonna lie, I’ve been pretty burnt out.

Bare with me as I spam your dashboard with pictures of what I’ve been up to the past 4 months.

As the new year inches closer and everyone’s resolution is to get in shape or quit smoking…I’ve been thinking about my resolution and what I want to accomplish in the new year.

Maybe it was all the whiskey talking last night but I had some intense conversations with a few of my closest friends. We talked about school and work, dreams and passions, love and friendship, and just life in general. At that moment, I realized I was exactly where I need to be in my life; surrounded by close friends that support me as I follow my dreams.

As my circle of friends gets smaller and smaller, it also gets tighter and tighter. Cutting the dead weight not only takes the weight off your shoulders but it lets you grow to your fullest potential.

That’s pretty much my resolution for the year: grow.

Grow as a cook, grow as a person, and any other way possible.

I want to be the best version of me possible.

I’ve decided to focus all my energy and time into cooking. I’m taking a semester off from school to work full time and finish out my culinary program.

I know my future is with The Burnt Truck. I’ve helped them grow from the ground up, and I can’t wait for what is coming next… Keep your eyes open!

I feel like this is the right decision.

I’m a big believer in fate. I feel as though everything happens for a reason. Everything is just a small piece of a puzzle and in the end it all just comes together.
